i have had a problem with my eyes for some time.. but most ppl dont know how serious it is..
ever since the first time i went to the eye doctor there has been some concern with some scar tissue blocking my sight in my right eye..
well.. i went to an eye specialist and he told me where the scar tissue was. they said when i turn 21 i could consider getting surgery on my eyes.
fast forward to a couple years back. my eye doctor told me there is nothing more he could do with my right eye.. im practically blind in that eye.. and my left eye.. trying to see for both is getting just as worse as my right one.. and if i dont do something i could go blind.
fast forward to my 21st birthday.. i went to get my new license and i had to take an eye test.. well.. i couldnt see the bottom line.. so i told the guy i dont know.. he said if i couldnt read it.. then i couldnt get my license.. i was like.. oh.. dang.. so i tried reallllly reallly hard to see.. and finally got the bottom line.
over the past year my vision has been getting worse and worse. so i finally decided it was time to look at my opinion.. i have my credit cards almost paid off.. and i have enough money saved (which i was gonna use for a kayak but this is a little more important) to go ahead and see what i can do.
i have always down played how bad my vision has gotten cuz it scares me a little.. like what if they cant fix my eyes and i do go blind.. that would suck. so thursday this week. i will find out.. just how bad it is.. and see what we can do about it. im super nervous about it. but i know everything will work out.
so. thought everyone should know.. so they know how to pray about it.
im hoping that it doesnt effect my job.. or my ministry with film.. cuz what if the doctor says “shanna you shouldnt stare are a computer all the time” i would be completelyyyyyy upset
been really busy with work and such sry i havent updated. my woot shirt wasnt that great.. so. yeah.. im sure ill enter in another one sometime.
monday – csi miami came back on. i was a little disappointed with the show.. they left you hanging on the season finale last season.. only to find yourself a couple feet off the ground when you landed on the premiere for this season. they could have done a lot more with it.. but they seem to have thrown it all together right before it aired. (boo to you csi miami)
Tuesday- House was as excellent as always i loved seeing penny from dr horrible’s sing-along-blog on there. i still havent warmed up to the new team *shrugs* dont know if that will ever happen. I do find it funny that House is trying to find a new friend and the one doctor thought he was gay and now he is paying a PI to be his friend. lol
NCIS- i was upset that they spilt up the team at the end of the finale of this show.. but i knew they would all get back together.. i was kinda in and out on this premiere.. but from what i saw i like it. that asian chick. i think her name is lee.. *shrugs* she had me fooled (but then again i didnt see the whole thing)
Fringe- this clever new show is growing on me a little.. i like the short commercials but they do have a lot to cover in a short amount of time.. i dont know names yet.. but the black guy in charge totally had him for a traitor from the get go.. i do hate that everytime you go to something else in the show.. they come back and all the sudden the doctor has figured something out (walter i think his name it) instead of even trying to explain how everything works they just cut it out.. (yeah.. cut that out yo) and what is up with the ppl following peter.. hmm.. we will see..
Wednesday – didnt really watch anything.. but a movie.. called a lot like love it was an okay movie.. coulda been better.. it was kinda predictable at the end
THURSDAY (TONITE)
The Office- haha.. cant wait for this show to start.. too bad it starts at the same time as CSI.
we let off with michael finding out that jan is having a baby.. and he wants to help raise it (my vote is the baby is hunters) but michael has a small crush on the new HR.. and she seems to be feeling michael too.. and thinks kevin is retarded.. lol. which was awesome. anyways.. we also left off with toby leaving (see ya!) pam is going to school in new york.. and jim didnt get to pop the question thanks to andy stealing the moment.. which his girl was cheating on him with dwight right at the end (awesome) i think this will make pam over think where her and jim are in their relationship (cuz girls are like that)
Always Sunny in Philadelphia — new episode.. these guys always make me laugh.. the new season is featured around poop. haha.. i know that sometime mac and charley are going to run into mac’s dad who promised to kill them after he got outta jail since they turned him in.. lol. funny stuff
CSI- you could watch CSI..we left off with Warrick being shot and left for dead by Undersheriff McKeen. I read that the new episode is called “For Warrick” –other interesting facts for CSI is Jorja will be coming back.. and William Peterson will be leaving the show i always said it wouldnt be the same if grissom left.. i think i would rather have him that sara
also in movie news.. (just read this) they are thinking about doing a I Am Legend Prequel (click here for story). that would be awesome (if it is done right)

I have finally brought myself to try and do the woot contest for the shirts. This weeks contest is about autumn.

This is my idea. Mr Wind blows the leaves off of Mr Tree. most ppl on the forum think this is a good idea. the hard part is the coloring. I want to do the highlights of the tree to give it more character but i don’t know how to do that … that well. So I’m working in Illustrator to work out some of the colors to see what I can come up with.
I’m thinking orange or yellow for the leaves. black outline around the tree. maybe i should do a dark brown instead then around the cloud a dark blue. i dont know. still working on it.
I’m also thinking the next time they have a photoshop contest I would join in on it.
So on Saturday I realized that my tag on my truck was expired. oops. So Monday morning before work I had to go to Bartow and get that fixed. all better now. Also went fishing on Saturday didn’t catch a thing. Got home took a shower went to Manny’s for momma’s birthday. Then Megan, Katie, and I went to the Orlando mall and went shopping. Went back to Katie’s house to find like five cops outside the neighbors house (that was two houses down) when we drove by there was crime tape around the house. Crazy. I don’t know what happened but that’s never a good sign.
Britney Spears finally won a moonman. She won Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, and Video of the Year for “Piece of Me” (Glad to she is on the up instead of the down)
I really didn’t like the host Russell Brand. He started off the show telling how America should vote for Obama and he called Bush a “retard cowboy”
Then for the rest of the show made fun of the Jonas Brothers for wearing purity rings. I LOOOVED what Jordin Sparks had to say about it. (you go girl)
When Jordin Sparks came out to present an award, she said
“I just have one thing to say about promise rings. It’s not bad to wear a promise ring, because not everybody – guy or girl – wants to be a slut.”
I always find that the VMA is more like a concert then an actually award show. This year they had Travis Barker and DJ AM mix some music between acts. (My Favorite was Wonderwall) and they had a crazy range of performers such as Lil Wayne, Rhianna, TI, Kid Rock, Pink, the Jonas Brothers, LL Cool J, Katie Perry, The Ting Tings, and Kanye West closed out the show ( I don’t think I forgot anyone. but maybe)
Out of all the performers my favorite were

Dan0 and I were in an argument about if the mascot for the tampa bay rays (raymond ray) is a guy or a girl. I’m thinking a guy is behind the mask; but Dan0 swears it is a girl. Back to the mascot thing.. is there like a school you go to to be a mascot. I would kinda like that job. Cuz you would get to travel with the team, be on tv, goof off alllll the time, and prolly get paid good money.
I wonder how much they make.. hmm..

Why do ppl feel the need to sing in the shower
I’m gonna let you know a random little fact about me: not only do i sing (sometimes) I also do math.
Yep, that’s right, while in the shower before school back in the day I took a bar of soap and would write out my grades on the wall and try to figure out what I needed on the next test to pull my grade up. lol.
Now-a-days I wait till the glass fogs up and I start writing down how much I wanna put towards what bill and what I have left in the bank. lol. strange huh?

So my friend Jeremy had this site (pandora.com) on his facebook.
I checked it out and it is a pretty cool radio
It takes songs that you like and finds more like that and you can build a radio station to music you like (catch is you have to register for it).
It has a nice range of music. If you don’t want to register it has nice genre stations for you to listen to, or you can type in a name of a artist or song and it will build around that.
It was doing okay till it got on this country kick and I found out you can’t skip past a song after you skip a certain amount.
Another annoying thing besides the skipping is i always have to have the window opened for the songs to go to the next one. That is a little annoying. .
But overall it is a pretty neat thing to have at work. I get tired of listening to the same ole itunes and this helps me expand my music knowledge
so its getting super busy at work and in my own personal life with projects and such. so this blog is gonna be hit and miss for a few weeks.
i just found out I’m not done with the hubbards dvd like i thought. ugh. i got an excellent idea for tom’s aunts project. yes. and I need to get with dan0 to get some of his emo music for shane and colleens video I’ll be doing..
tonite hubbards – tomorrow college and career class – thursday miss agge – friday nothing – saturday fishing with dan0 and then out to eat for mom’s bday – sunday help medulla with the video/closed circuit thing – busy week.. phew. later guys
