i sent in for support on my site.. and doug from wordpress helped me get this thing back up and running. yay.
so tomorrow im going to the rays game. yay. and then after that dan0 and i are staying for the We The Kings concert. AWESOME!
im glad we have a 3 day weekend.
i had an update about CNN i was going to post earlier today but that failed to happen. so i prolly wont get to that. and i wont be around all weekend.. so. ill catch you guys later!

Sry for skipping out for a couple days. Been busy. I’ll make this short.
Feature of the Day:
I’ve been buzzing about this show for a little while now but today I’m actually going to feature it.
Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog
It has 3 Acts but hopefully they will do more.
[spoiler alert]
Dr Horrible/Billy Buddy (Neil Patrick Harris) is a villain trying to reach super villain status and join the Evil League of Evil. He thinks by becoming a super villain he will win over the girl of his dreams Penny (Felicia Day) The only person standing in his way is Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion), “the corporate tool”
In a heist gone wrong Dr Horrible’s accidentally introduced Captain Hammer to Penny which sparks a relationship between the two. Now heart broken and at the end of the rope with Bad Horse, the leader of the Evil League of Evil, he has to prove himself as a super villain by killing someone or it’s his head.
Fueled by his new hate for Captain Hammer, he plots to take care of the Captain and win back Penny.
How will it end? Will he actually go through with killing Captain Hammer? Will he finally become a member of the Evil League of Evil? Will Penny finally be his? — Well i guess you just have to watch it

I don’t usually like musicals but this musical (written by Joss Whedon) is clever and well written. The music is catchy, the lyrics are entertaining and fuel the story.

MTV has a show called My Super Sweet Sixteen
which is about these rich kids getting the best party in the history of parties at any cost and their parents fork out enough money to feed a third world country. I always hated that show watching these spoiled kids cry over which car their parents are going to buy them.
But now MTV has a new show coming on tonight at 10:30pm called Exiled
A few years after tossing the parties that made them stars in their schools and fueled rivalries among the rich kids, you’re going to see some of the Sweet 16-ers you loved to hate the most — Ava, Sierra, Amanda, Bjorn, Marissa, Chelsi, Meleny and Alex — shipped away from their plush homes and easy lives and Exiled to foreign locations such as the jungles of the Amazon, the tundra of the Arctic Circle, the Andes mountains and remote islands in the South Pacific where they’ll have to live like local commoners with none of the amenities of their normally privileged lives. –MTV.com
Now that actually sounds entertaining. There were only two kids that I saw on the preview that were trying to learn how to survive; the others complained about getting dirty, or how hot it was, or how they just wanted to go home.
I think it will be good for them so when they aren’t under the care of their parents they will know how to work and how to survive on their own. Only if they are willing to learn from this experience.
Should be interesting

Yay! Although I planned to go for a looong bike ride today it was kinda messed up cuz of all the rain we are getting thanks to tropical storm Fay. 
Instead I slept in, got with Linda on Colleen’s photos, played some rock band with Shane and Andrew, worked out… and now I’m watching Christian Rock music videos on the gospel channel.
the rest of the day will be filled with chilling out and doing nothing. ^_^
No feature today its the weekend so come Monday I’ll put something cool up. Prolly wont update tomorrow So have a good weekend yall catch ya Monday!

From this point (August 22 at 12:43pm) I am trying to save money instead of wasting it on random stuff I don’t need (like the latest video game that I don’t even play or a cd that I only listen to once) I’ve been on a spending spree since I had money and today (*mark my words) it stops.
The reason for this new commitment is because I’m finally going to do what I have said I was going to a million times and that is go to college.
YES that is right. For the next few months I will finally pay off all my credit cards and finally take the step to getting a higher education. With the job market dying it is best for me to take this leap and one-up the competition by getting a degree in Graphic Artist. So hopefully in Jan I will be a college girl :3
Then I will have the required experience and the degree to reach that higher paying job I have always wanted 
Unfortunately that means cutting back on my going-to-the-movies-Friday. I will not be going to the movies every friday. So my movie reviewing will have to be done to the movies I receive on Netflix (yeah yeah I can’t give up everything cold turkey you know)
Which brings me to

(I’m sure most of you have heard about netflix before but I’m still gonna talk about it since it is my blog 
)
So instead of spending $8.50 for one movie every week: which equals about $34 (if ppl actually pay me back for their tickets could be more depending on that fact)
I will be spending $18.18 for unlimited dvd watching during the month.
They have different options depending on how many dvds you want to receive a month: whether it be unlimited during the month or receiving only 4 a month. You also have the option of how many you want at a time. My account is 3 dvds at a time unlimited during the month.
You can also watch some movie instantly online. (only problem is it doesnt work with macs )
I have to wait a couple days to get a new movie but I still have two other dvds to keep me entertained so for me it’s a never-ending cycle of new movies. And it doesn’t have late fees so there’s no problem if you get busy and it takes you a while to get around to watching the dvd.
You can watch trailers on the site too to find movies you haven’t heard of or ones you just forgot were around.
The only problem I have had is I have to wait for the movie to come out on dvd but like I said a couple post back I need to learn patience.
So if you are a movie buff and don’t like going to blockbuster all the time and them not having your movies you should try netflix

So today I go into an argument with our salesman Ed Miller. Ed has been in the game for years and is almost at the age of retirement. (Aka he is a stubborn old man that thinks he is right about everything.)
Boxes Etc, one of Ed’s customers, is notorious at letting jobs fall to the waist side and then complaining about how we didn’t keep up with them. (like so many other companies in this industry) Today’s job was a meat box with a safe handling slug going to Micon to run. I sent them artwork proof on the 12th of last week. We always have Boxes sign off on the artwork and fax it over because they have screwed us so many times on changes.
Today Micon called and said they have an order on the box but they do not have the plates. I tried calling Joe to see if he wanted to order the plates and he was in the warehouse so I called Ed to tell him about the job and see if he could get in touch with Joe. Well Ed starting going on about how I shouldn’t have waited a week to get on this I should have called Joe a couple days later and yadda yadda.
1. I have tons of customers
2. Of those tons of customers 90% of them say their jobs will be an order after I send them proof.
3. Of that 90% only 5% actually get the order and say it’s a go; where as the other has art changes and don’t get back with me on these changes for days, weeks, heck even months
so I told him it is not my jooooob to babysit his customer and make sure they order their dies when they are suppose to and if they don’t send over a signed off print card saying it’s an order it’s not my problem. All I can do is hit the ball in their court and wait for them to do whatever.
I wasn’t mad or upset or anything like that. I just wanted him to know it’s not my fault that this crap happens all the time with those ppl and I’m not gonna sit there and be blamed for it anymore there is only so much I can do for a customer.

WhatTheFont is a cool site that helps you match a font from a photo or a fax. I have been using it here at ACT for four years since I have to copy company logos and their artwork it has really helped.
You have to make sure you clean up the image really nice to help it lock on what letters are what. I have found that script font or some crazy swirly fonts or something like that is really hard to find on this site.

Yes! Finally school is back in session and it couldn’t have come soon enough. It is nice and quiet in my office now. I can watch Hulu all I want without some kid bugging me about work I don’t have. Aww, love it!

I have been watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia most of the morning with Ricky. It’s a lol kind of a show.
Four egocentric friends who run a neighborhood Irish pub in Philadelphia try to find their way through the adult world of work and relationships. Unfortunately, their warped views and precarious judgments often lead them to trouble, creating a myriad of uncomfortable situations that usually only get worse before they get better -imdb.com
The show is just so wrong its funny. If you have a twisted sense of humor you would really like this show. Danny DeVito hasn’t done comedy like this since “Throw Momma from the Train” The rest of the actors personalities mesh really well.
New Season starts Sept 18, Thursdays 10 PM on FOX.

So last night I filled out an app to get a job at Blockbuster for my second/part time job. I want to do something with movies. I applied at the movie theater as well but they said they weren’t hiring at the moment. (Blah)

Im gonna try to keep this thing updated more. with a little this a little of that.
The pastor at Medulla brought up a good point about Michael Phelps.
When you listen to him talk.. there was a lot of.. me, i, me, me, myself.
ppl call him immortal (its tru i heard a commentator say that after out touching the other guy by 1/100th of a second) and how he is a role model.
now rewind to 2007 when Tim Tebow won the Heisman.
Most of HIS speech was about how God gave him the ability to do what he does. That’s the kinda role model i want.
Kinda makes you think when you are on top of the world.. who are you more like? do you have a lot of me’s, and I’s coming outta of your month.. boosting your own ego.
or do you just point to God and say it was Him. He gave me this ability.
just a random thought i was thinking today.. anyways.. i got to finish some stuff here. then im off.

in two more months my brother is getting married so exciting. im really happy for shane and colleen.
i failed to mention that my favorite cit becky got married on 08-08-08. (congrats becky!)
its gonna be weird not having shaney boy in the house anymore. all grown up and getting married
i barely see him or megan now a days. first they both had school now megan has work and shane starts school tonite. so the only time i really see them is in the morning.. or weekends.
so i guess it wont be a huge deal.
shane said they had the walls up on his house now. and hopefully (if the hurricane doesnt mess it up) they will have the roof up sometime this week. which will be right on track to finishing their house by the time they get married. so pray that all that goes well.
im going camera shopping sometime this month to get a new camera to film shane and colleens wedding with. and then ill have katie run another camera so i will have three cameras going. i already have an idea of what i want to do with the dvd menu. (if my computer straightens up. i might have to reformat and start over with the right os)
i still have to work on the picture for shane and colleen. i have that thing for tom’s aunt to do. and i have to make the dvd cover for the hubbards dvd. (allllmost there) so maybe in the next few weeks if i stopped goofin off i could finish this stuff

im having movie nite with myself.. sweet.. i have some netflix i got to knock out.. fun times
you know whats funny. we got a new sales man.. his name is jeff.. we had him for a week and a half. and…. all the sudden he hasnt been around.. (something about his mother-in-law and father-in-law..dont know.) but everytime i ask tony.. he says he doesnt know whats going on.. so.. it seems.. like we might be looking for a new salesman. he was kinda.. like don anyways.. i doubt that we will find some one as good as bob.. oh well..
